Beginner to intermediate silks! This is a mixed-level structured acrobatic-style aerial silks class. No experience required! Taking a beginner class and completing prerequisites is required for participation in Open Gyms, and all other intermediate aerial silks classes. ...so here's your chance to get started.
Wear stretchy clothing that covers knees and arms (yoga clothing is perfect) and that means for the guys, too! Compression pants are great.ย No jewelry on the equipment, camera phones welcome.

lyra/hoop

New to Lyra? Or new-ish? This hoop trapeze will suspend you and build confidence in the air. In this class we will work on flying in the basic ways. Safety first. Fluidity next. Knee Hangs, shoulder and arm strength, sitting pretty, styling and tricks will be worked on in every class! take several of these classes and you will be ready to move on or come back to when you need a refresh! EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
In order to participate in Open Gyms, you must be able to complete a foot knot and be able to climb and safely occupy yourself for the duration of the session.
Open Gym attendees should be currently taking classes either at Open Minds or any of the other great studios around the area, previous experience is also welcome.
Aerial Open Gyms are a great way to work on things you've learned in aerial classes.
7 aerial silks, both single point and double point lyra, tumbling mats are available, along with casual advice if you're interested in learning floor work, inversions, handstands, forearm balancing, and flexibility.
Please wear aerial appropriate clothing: tight-fitting pants and tops (guys, this means you too!). Make sure the backs of your knees are covered and you have sleeves. No jewelry/watches/rings on the equipment, please
