Join us for the first of 3 Qoya Body Wisdom classes of spring!
Qoya is an embodiment movement practice based on the idea that through movement we remember. We remember that our essence as women is wise, wild, and free. Wise, wild, and free also draw reference to the movement forms practiced in a Qoya class:
Wise: Calling on the wisdom of yoga, meditation, ritual, and contemplation.
Wild: The creative and authentic expression in dance.
Free: The freedom to feel pleasure in the body through feminine or sensual movement by choosing what feels nourishing.
Qoya is also based on the idea that there is no way you can do it wrong. If it feels good to you, that's how you know you are doing it right. It’s a physical movement practice that allows us to shift to be more present in the body, and we do this by tuning into the feeling.
We hope you can join us for one or all of the 3 part embodiment series.
Each class has a theme mixed with rituals, ecstatic dance, community sharing, and a guided journey back into the body with epic music. Healing happens in the community, and Qoya class creates a safe space to support us to drop us out of our heads and into our bodies by following the physical sensation of truth.
We have so much fun moving, sweating, stretching, and being together. All of you is welcome here.
The theme we will be dancing with for this Spring class series is: BODY WISDOM.
Each class theme will build upon the next and move you through a journey of BODY WISDOM - BODY LOVE - BODY TRUST.
We will explore what it feels like when we tune into our somatic yeses and no's. We will explore what safety feels like in the body, and begin to build a bridge where we can slow down, deeply listen, and trust the inner wisdom of the body.
