Winter Solstice an Evening of Astrology Movement and Sacred Sounds
A celebration of lightness & darkness. The Sun and the moon! The yin and the yang. Astro-story to open the consciousness to to unfolding energies of the Universe, sacred sounds to absorb the frequencies and movement to embody them.
Movement as Medicine. Movement for manifestation! Movement to celebrate the Winter Solstice with giant gongs,droning waves of sound, moody landscapes and musical adventures.
On the Dec 21st, 7pm Winter Solstice we will meet in the new "Black Box" Theater located at The Center for Performing Arts, Minneapolis, MN. This space is larger and can accommodate more people as well as provide an atmosphere for more creativity and expressionism. It will truly be magical!
Shamanic astrologer, Jeffery Grundtner, will guide us on an inner mythic journey, to open our awareness to the cosmic energies of Solstice 2021 and the tone of 2022.
Then, Koreen Valdovinos, owner and founder of Open Minds Fusion Studio will be guiding us through movement and ecstatic dance while being our DJ of Global Rhythms melodies.
𝇇 𝄢Frank DiCristina also know as "The Singing Bowl Guy" will be with his epic collection of giant gongs, bells and ancient singing bowls. This SOUNDSCAPE will collide with rhythm and the bass with Koreen V and Jeffery G.
There are no rules for this movement/dance besides respect yourself, each other and the space. This practice will be mostly intuitive movement with a meditation guide from time to time leading us along.
This is a conscious dance practice with a long gong bath savasana sound healing by frank, who is truly magic.
We agree to drop judgment at the door and practice presence by way of breath and rhythm and free movement. Yoga mats are recommended and stretching space will always be available for grounding at anytime, for whatever reason. Move emotion through yourself in this conscious dance experience. No dance or yoga experience necessary. Transformation, smiling, laughter, release and healing, optional.
And Yes, you may bring your Drum, Rattle or other instrument(s) to join in with our facilitators. Feel free to bring yoga mats, meditation cushions and water.
